WELCOME TO SHRI VINOBA BHAVE COLLEGE OF NURSING
College has its own planned building and is associated with 272 bedded Shri Vinoba Bhave Civil Hospital located within the campus, to enable the nursing students to acquire knowledge through clinical experience. Students are also posted in rural health centers for their community experiences. For them, a well equipped and spacious hostel is available within the campus. The college has an excellent infrastructure with state of art facilities like laboratories, mannequins, Audio Visual teaching aids such as OHPs, LCD’s, Visualizers, Interactive smart boards to make learning more interesting, realistic and dynamic. The institute imparts not only academic knowledge but also ensures an – all-round development of students through SNA (Students Nursing Association) activities.
Ragging Free Environment
As per the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, Ragging is strictly prohibited inside the campus and Anti Ragging Affidavit (Annex -3) has to furnish by the students once admission is confirmed.
Library
A well equipped spacious library with all the modern facilities including E-learning are provided for the students within the campus
Hostel
The hostel accommodation shall be offered to students on the basis of seniority of joining and the merit list. Students are to abide by hostel rules and regulations otherwise they shall be expelled from the hostel and debarred for re-entry in the hostel.
Stipend/ Scholarships
Monthly stipend and scholarships during the course are provided for eligible candidates by the administration of Dadra Nagar Haveli.
Uniform Services
A distinct dress code for the students of all courses, with a sole objective to instill a sense of uniformity and also to inculcate the culture and values in them.
Medicare & Denticare(Student Health)
Extend free practice of Medicare and Denticare to the students. Provision of highly specialized facilities like C.T scan, MRI scan, and echocardiography are also available round the clock inside the hospital ad are provided to the students in an extremely subsidized rate.
Sports and fitness programme
Liberal arrangements have been made in the way of indoor and outdoor games and other sports facilities to provide students with ample competitive and recreational opportunities. Provisions for participating in various sports events, department wise, intercollegiate or inter-university, state or national level are also arranged.
Counselling and Guidance
Counselling for a better adjustment in life is provided by the expert counselors and teachers which helps the students to solve the problems arising out of academic and non- academic challenges. Carrier counseling services are arranged to assist students on a vast spectrum of subjects relating to career planning, employment prospects, carrier choices, and job Placement. Counseling is also provided to help the students in maintaining a healthy mind and coordinate relationship among themselves. Services of trained and experienced clinical psychologist are made available to any student who needs guidance at any time.
Security services
The college engages 24X7 high –end security service for the safety and security of students. The hostellers have strict and fixed timings and are to be observed by them, especially in regard to the reporting time of the students.
Banking Services
In order to facilitate quick and easy transactions, especially for outstation students and stipend services branches of the bank which are located nearby the college.
Membership
Students join as a member of the Student Nurses Association and will have the opportunity to register with GNC and TNAI after completion of course.
